GreenProfit Solutions Goes Pro-Bono for Non-Profit Organizations

Plantation, FL July 10, 2009 – GreenProfit Solutions today announced the unveiling of a new company policy: Offering their services at no cost to qualified charitable non-profit organizations. With the economic recession hitting these organizations the hardest, priorities have been set to try to simply maintain their quality and level of services, with no funds available for any sustainability initiatives. Ironically, a comprehensive sustainability initiative would result in expense reduction, employee retention, and provide a public spotlight on the organization – all benefits which most non-profit organizations cannot afford to even start. According to Joseph Winn, President/CEO of GreenProfit Solutions, Inc., a decision was made to assist those organizations which provide society’s basic support services.
“Large companies employ their own sustainability departments and consultants, and our Approved Green Business Program provides small and medium size businesses with a comprehensive and affordable sustainability solution. After meeting with several non-profit organizations, and noting their desire to “Go Green”, yet not having the available resources, we decided to become their pro-bono Sustainability Advisors.” Qualified non-profits will receive the same system available to businesses, simply renamed and rebranded for their purposes as the Approved Green Organization program. The program includes energy, water and waste audits as well as self-assessment guidelines to empower and include both the staff and residents as active participants. Regular press releases will be issued to highlight the progress and achievements of the organization. Just as in the standard business program, all employees will also be eligible for GreenProfit Benefits such as the free learning library and discounts on “green” products.
Founded in 1971, the Broward Children’s Center, offering a range of health, wellness, education, recreation, therapeutic, daily living, and advocacy services, was selected as the first non-profit to receive the program. Through their multiple facilities, including their Children’s Comprehensive Care Facility, HomeCare, and mobile services, the organization provides 24/7 care through almost 400 caregivers to more than 1,000 children and young adults each year.
